Water Quality Monitoring Program

In 2017 the Columbia Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) established a water quality monitoring program, in collaboration with the Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership,  to track trends in water temperature, turbidity, and E. coli bacteria in the Clatskanie River, Beaver Creek, Milton Creek, North Scappoose Creek and South Scappoose Creek. Establishment of this program was made possible through funding from the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, and Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board funding has enabled continuation of the program.
