Become an Associate Director
Do you have skills that you would like to use in the continued conservation of Columbia County?
Do you want to be active in your community and learn more about our wide variety of habitats and how to keep them healthy while you contribute to the conservation of the county?
Associate Directors are volunteers, serving as non-voting members of the board, that act as advisors and as representatives of the board of directors.
We welcome your experience. You will have opportunities to help educate and develop conservation projects in the community as well as contribute input at board meetings.
Associate Directors, appointed by the Board of Directors, are voting citizens of Columbia County with abilities that will help build community-based partnerships, and who also enjoy working with teams. If you have expertise in community involvement and outreach or are familiar with the conservation practices and policies affecting natural resources, please consider volunteering with the Columbia County Soil and Water Conservation Board to help us extend our reach. We are expanding our education efforts in schools and the community and offering opportunities to volunteer in the field.
We invite you to attend board meetings every third Wednesday at the Columbia Soil and Water Conservation office at 35285 Millard Road in St. Helens at 4 pm.
