Bring your extra seeds and exchange with others.

Announcement for a Seed Exchange event on February 7, 2026, at Columbia Learning Center in St. Helens, Oregon. Bring excess seeds!

The St. Helens Seed Library Master Gardener™ Volunteers invite the community to a seed exchange event, in partnership with the St. Helens Public Library, Scappoose Bay Watershed Council, and Oregon State University Extension.

What to Bring

Participants are encouraged to bring excess seeds to share. Accepted seeds include:

  • Locally saved seeds
  • Open-pollinated varieties
  • Excess purchased seeds
  • Seeds donated by seed companies
  • Vegetable, herb, flower, and native flower seeds

All seeds must be clean, dry, and free of disease.

Seeds We Cannot Accept

The following types of seeds will not be accepted:

  • Invasive species
  • GMO seeds
  • Unknown seeds from volunteer plants
  • Poisonous plants
