Volunteers Invited to Join Fox Creek Clean-Up Event – November 8 in Rainier
"The Lower Columbia River Watershed Council (LCRWC) in partnership with the Friends of Fox Creek invites community members to get outside and lend a hand at a Fox Creek Clean-Up and Invasive Plant Removal event on Saturday, November 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Rainier, Oregon. Meet at the C Street Trailhead (East C Street Rainier, OR 97048, next to Riverside Community Church).
Volunteers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to join in this fun and meaningful community effort to care for our local watershed.
Watershed Councils like LCRWC are community-based organizations dedicated to restoring and protecting the health of local streams, rivers, and wetlands. Through partnerships with landowners, volunteers, and local agencies, the Council works to improve water quality, enhance fish and wildlife habitat, and build community stewardship across the Lower Columbia region.
This event offers a hands-on way to make a difference for Fox Creek. Volunteers will help remove litter, pull invasive plants, and tend to native vegetation that supports healthy streams. Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided—just bring sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and a willingness to get a little dirty for a good cause!
Community is at the heart of LCRWC’s mission. Every volunteer makes a real impact on the health of our local waterways. To sign up or learn more, contact Rachael Barry at lowercolumbiawc@gmail.com and register here: Fox Creek Volunteer Stewardship Event Registration.
Healthy streams, healthy community—let’s make it happen together."
