Do you have a question regarding your Water Rights, Groundwater, Well Water, Streams, or Dams? Check out the Water Resources Department!
Here, you can locate your local Watermaster to assist you with well water testing; conduct streamflow measurements and maintain gaging stations; conduct well inspections and collect groundwater level data; perform routine dam safety inspections; assist in stream recovery efforts; provide information to landowners and others on water rights and Oregon Water Law; regulate water use during times of shortage and mediate disputes between water users.
The Watermaster's Office is part of the Field Services Division of OWRD. There are twenty Watermaster Districts statewide, organized into five regions. The Watermaster functions as a local contact for landowners, elected officials, and watershed councils, as well as other government agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.
